If you want to see what the perfect golf backswing<\/a><\/strong> looks like, look no further than this golf student and member of the website whose\u00a0backswing<\/strong> position is basically flawless when viewed face on.<\/p>\n

It you wanted to get nitpicky, you could say that his stance is a little bit wider than ideal<\/a>, but because he is so flexible, he manages to stay centered and not sway off of the ball even with the wider stance.\u00a0 He does tend to hang back a little bit at impact, and we’re working on it as we narrow his stance width a little bit.<\/p>\n

What You Should Copy from This Great Backswing<\/h2>\n

The great things that you will notice in his backswing position:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. He loaded up on his right side,<\/li>\n
  2. He hasn’t swayed off the ball, and<\/li>\n
  3. He’s made a massive shoulder turn, while still keeping his hands out away from his head.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The last point is critical. <\/strong><\/p>\n

    When we see most golfers who make this big of a shoulder turn in the backswing, their hands would be over the top of their heads at this point, as they let their arms swing wildly away from their body and out of control.<\/p>\n

    What this golfer has done is focused on my backswing<\/strong> mantra: \u00a0\u201cBig body turn, little arm swing.<\/em><\/span>\u201d<\/p>\n

    He’s made a huge shoulder turn with relatively little hip turn and kept his arms working in front of his body, all of which have allowed him to achieve this world-class top of the swing position that you see here.<\/p>\n
