{"id":2331,"date":"2013-03-31T09:20:32","date_gmt":"2013-03-31T14:20:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.rotaryswing.com\/golf-lessons-blog\/?p=2331"},"modified":"2013-03-31T09:20:32","modified_gmt":"2013-03-31T14:20:32","slug":"rhythm-in-golf","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rotaryswing.com\/golf-lessons-blog\/rhythm-in-golf\/","title":{"rendered":"Rhythm in Golf | Great Balance and Rhythm, Your Swing &#8220;Glue&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Let&#8217;s talk about a couple of things I like to call &#8220;swing glue.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>They&#8217;re what hold your golf swing together and allow you to hit great shots, even when your technique isn&#8217;t perfect. \u00a0(And no one&#8217;s technique is <em>always<\/em> perfect!)<\/p>\n<p>Those two things are balance and\u00a0rhythm in golf.<\/p>\n<p><strong>With great<\/strong> <strong>balance and great rhythm in the golf swing<\/strong>, we can get away with a lot!<\/p>\n<p>We can make improper motions \u2014\u00a0not have the perfect angles with our arms, our elbows or our knees, or whatever we&#8217;re working on \u2014\u00a0and still hit some fantastic shots.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Without good balance and rhythm in the golf swing<\/strong>, even if we have perfect technique, we&#8217;re still gonna hit bad shots.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m not saying technique isn&#8217;t important. It&#8217;s incredibly important, but <strong>balance and rhythm in golf are equally important<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The idea is this: if we can put them all together, we&#8217;re gonna be hard to beat. What we want to have in our golf swing is balance from our toes to our heels; we want it very centered.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The first thing we want to work on is finding balance from our toes to our heels in our golf swing. We want it to be very centered.<\/p>\n<p>In the picture above, I&#8217;m finding balance in my body using a simple drill we talked about in the <a title=\"Finding True Balance in Golf\" href=\"https:\/\/www.rotaryswing.com\/golf-instruction\/golfbiomechanics\/balance-in-golf-finding-true-balance.php\">Finding True Balance\u00a0in golf<\/a> video.<\/p>\n<p>To make the feeling even more obvious, <strong>I&#8217;m also using a $2 training aid<\/strong> that you&#8217;ll find out more about when you watch this new video.<\/p>\n<p>The center of gravity and the center of our balance should be somewhere between your ankle bone and a few inches forward of that.
