Today we're going to take a look at Peter Jacobsen's golf swing<\/strong> from the face on view and talk about some of what makes his swing unique and interesting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This swing is from January or February 2006, and shows us some of his one plane swing<\/strong> moves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We'll start, as always, at setup. We've drawn three lines on the image; two red lines to show the position of his legs and hips at address, and a vertical line showing the position of his head at address.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As you can see, the trail side of his head is about two or three inches behind the ball. He's pretty centered here. His spine angle at address<\/strong> is fairly vertical – he hasn't tilted excessively away from the target. His shoulders and waist are as horizontal to the ground as they can be.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It looks like a very sound golf setup position<\/strong>. He's got a little bit of angle in the trail leg for support and stability as he braces into that side on the way back. Overall, it's a pretty stock address position.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
