It&#8217;s SOOOOO frustrating to stand up on a hole with water to the right and no matter what you do, you can&#8217;t keep from hitting the ball in the drink. It&#8217;s almost like there&#8217;s a golf ball magnet in the bottom of the lake!<\/p>\n<p>Most golfers don&#8217;t understand why they slice it and so they keep searching for golf tips to help them fix a problem they don&#8217;t understand. The first trick to fixing your golf slice is to understand what&#8217;s making it happen. The cool thing is, RotarySwing.com explains this in a way you&#8217;ve never heard before.<\/p>\n<p>What people don&#8217;t realize is that the first step to creating a golf slice is to, in most cases, steepen the angle of the shaft during the downswing. &nbsp;This steepening move makes the shaft, and hence the golf club, not want to rotate during the downswing. The club face naturally rotates open during the backswing, and therefore, must rotate closed during the downswing. By taking a steep approach into the golf ball this won&#8217;t happen.<\/p>\n<p>Think of it like swinging an ax to chop a piece of wood. When swinging the ax vertically, the head of the ax doesn&#8217;t want to rotate, does it? Nope. Neither does your golf club. So, the first trick to fixing your golf slice is to NOT steepen the shape. How do we do that?<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m glad you asked! But let&#8217;s back up one further step and ask ourselves what caused the shaft to steepen in the first place.
