Back in 2010, I published a golf instruction video on YouTube that accurately predicted that the swing changes Tiger Woods was making with then instructor Sean Foley would injure his back (see video below).
Now, there were no shortage of arm chair golf swing “experts” out there that said I was out of my mind and Foley was the messiah and Tiger Woods was going to win 20 more majors now. Well, the facts are in, the jury’s done deliberating and the reality is that I was right ;-). As with all things measured in fact and science rather than opinion and preference, reality will eventually set in and the truth will rise to the top.

Football players have a lower injury rate than that! So, what gives?
In my opinion, golf instruction in general is a mess. It’s based on what this top player does in his swing or what your local instructor found works in his own swing. That’s non-sense. Where’s the facts, the fundamentals of the golf swing? What else did you learn in life the way you learn the golf swing? What other sport or activity have you learned where every single instructor contradicts what the last one just said? It’s pure insanity and the industry as a whole should be ashamed. There’s a reason the game is in decline – the quality of instruction.
