One Simple Tweak for a Consistent Golf Swing

Do you struggle with consistency in your ball striking? Of course! Everyone does!

I mean, who would say no to an offer on how to become a more consistent golfer?!

Building a consistent golf swing starts with understanding what the true fundamentals of the golf swing really are. Anything in life that you are learning, you learn the fundamentals first. But this usually isn't the case with golfers.

Golfers are typically looking for a "band-aid" type "quick-fix" for their golf swings. They typically don't go to their pro and say "I want to learn how to shift my weight like the pros."

No, instead, they say, "The ball's going to the right, I want it to go straight!"

Of course, this leads them down the path of chopping W.O.O.D. What's chopping W.O.O.D?

It's going to the driving range before a round of golf and trying to find a swing thought of the day, or, as I call them, swing thoughts that Work Only One Day.

If you're wanting get off that endless merry go round, then you need shift your thinking to mastering the fundamentals of the golf swing and that's the only thing you get at RotarySwing.com.

In fact, I can't stand the phrase "golf tips". We don't do tips because tips are as worthless. Tips are typically just something that one golfer found that is temporarily working in his or her golf swing at the moment and he's eager to share while it's working.

What happens when that 20 handicapper's "band-aid" falls off and he's back to spraying it again? He won't be dishing up any tips any time soon.

Think of all the golf tips you've heard or read in your playing career. How many are still with you today? Probably none and you've probably bounced from thing to the next for years without even realizing it.

THIS is why golfers struggle and why handicaps haven't materially improved.

Golf is taught like the weight loss industry. Every damn day there's a new pill, miracle workout, video, some shill trying to sell you something that will help you lose weight instantly.

How many of those have worked? None.

Golf is just the same. Every day the golf publications and pundits on TV try to sell you something that won't help, it can't help - but you know this already which is why you're still scouring the internet looking for another "tip" to "fix" your golf swing.

You Want a Consistent Golf Swing?

If you're serious about building a consistent golf swing, STOP the insanity of beating your head against the same "tip" wall and expecting a different result.

Today's Golf "Tip" - The Right Foot is Key to a Consistent Golf Swing

Did you catch that? I snuck that evil little three letter word in there to see if you're paying attention!

Consistency in golf involves some geometry. Now, don't tune out yet, you need to hear this stuff and get out of the mindset of not understanding what's really happening in the golf swing. You need to educate yourself so you can see through all the "garbage" information that's out there that won't make you any better and might just make you worse.

When it comes to understanding the golf swing and what leads to consistency or a lack thereof, you need to first consider your spine angle - it's the most important angle in golf.

Your spine, well, it's kind of important! In the golf swing, it forms the basis for our bodies to rotate around for starters, then it also forms the angles upon which the club will be swung on.

Where most golfers lose any hope for a consistent golf swing is when they stand up out of their posture and lose their spine angle. Once you do this, all bets are off.

As you lose your spine angle, your primary pivot points in the golf swing (your shoulders) are moving up and away from where they were at address. This, in turn, moves the golf club up and away.

This steepens the swing plane as the shaft becomes more vertical as the shoulders raise. It often leads to shots off the toe, as well as an over the top move for higher handicap players.

So, what fundamental of the golf swing causes a golfer to lose his or her posture? I'm glad you asked, because that's what we're going to talk about in today's video on how to learn a consistent golf swing! So, that's enough talking, let's watch the vid!

If you go to the course today and you're one of the golfers that I discussed in the video that pushes off the right side, you're going to be AMAZED at how EASY hitting the golf ball consistently is going to feel after this!
